Bob Armstrong had a varied career in conservation. Trained as a lawyer, he served in elected posts as a representative for Austin in the Texas Legislature, and as the state’s General Land Commissioner. He also held appointed leadership positions as energy and environmental advisor in Governor Richard’s Administration, as a member of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission, and as Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Land and Minerals.
