Carl Schoenfeld is a plant explorer and horticulturalist interested in drought and heat tolerant plants, including rare yuccas, cacti, ferns, and bromeliads. He was the founder and owner of the Yucca Do Nursery in Hempstead, and now runs the Yucca Doo Vivero operation in Salta, Argentina.
